How we use data
If you allow it, Studiolo uses PostHog, hosted in the EU, to see which features are used, to find errors, and to watch masked recordings of how the app is used. Recordings hide all text you type and read, and never show your notes, maps, files or conversations.
Without your permission, Studiolo only counts page views and errors anonymously, without cookies and without linking them to you.
Studiolo also records which AI features your account uses and what they cost, to keep within spending limits.
When you dictate, your browser asks before Studiolo uses the microphone. Depending on your account, your voice is either turned into text on your device, where no audio leaves it, or sent to ElevenLabs to be turned into text. If ElevenLabs isn't available, dictation can use your browser's own speech service instead (Google in Chrome, Apple in Safari). Studiolo doesn't keep the audio; it records only how long you dictated.
If you request an invitation, Studiolo sends your name, email, what you do and what you want to learn first to Loops, the email service that keeps the waiting list and sends the invitation emails. When the owner invites you and when you first sign in, Loops is told the date, so it can send the right email. Studiolo never sends Loops your notes, maps, files, explainers or sign-in codes.
You can change your choice at any time in Settings. To have your analytics data deleted, contact the owner of this test.
